Bethesda Game Studios Marks 40 Years with Thanks to Players and The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel Reveal
For 40 years, Bethesda Game Studios has explored new worlds, told unforgettable stories, and gone on incredible adventures together with its players. In a message accompanying the studio's 40th anniversary celebration, the team thanked fans for joining them along this journey, for making these worlds their own, and for inspiring them to keep creating.
The anniversary video, hosted by longtime director Todd Howard, looks back across four decades of games—from early sports titles like Gridiron and Wayne Gretzky Hockey, through The Terminator, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 76, and Starfield—before closing with the full name and logo reveal for The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel, set in the Redguard port city of Sentinel in Hammerfell. Bethesda noted that development continues and that it will be some time before they share more.
Here's to 40 more.
