TOTW 8 Leaked

No Hakimi, no Cristiano Ronaldo, no João Félix. With several high-profile names missing from the final selection, who actually made it into TOTW 8? Let's take a look at EA's picks.

The Hakimi case is unusual but hardly surprising. Due to off-field circumstances, EA has decided not to award him any special cards beyond his Road to the Finals item in EA FC 26. But he is not the only notable omission. Cristiano Ronaldo was left out despite scoring three goals, while João Félix missed out on what would have been his second Inform after recording two goals and six assists during the week. Several other players with standout performances were also overlooked.

👎Players We Missed

We warned that this would be a difficult TOTW to predict, especially given the limitations EA imposes on its own selections, as we already saw with the Hakimi situation. Rodman makes the cut after scoring just one goal against the team sitting bottom of the table, which says a lot about how difficult it was to anticipate EA's choices this week. Rogers stands out for a different reason, having scored in an important match. Our pick was Fofana, who delivered an impressive performance in defense and looked like a strong candidate for inclusion. Simón had a strong performance with two amazing saves, but he couldn't keep a clean sheet. Another remarkable omission is Brighton goalkeeper Verbruggen, who delivered an outstanding performance but was inexplicably left out of this TOTW. His absence is particularly difficult to justify.
