The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel Officially Revealed with Hammerfell Setting
Your next journey to Tamriel will be in The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. Bethesda Game Studios confirmed the full title and location during its 40th anniversary celebration on November 3, 2026, more than eight years after the game's initial teaser.
The reveal trailer shows an Elder Scroll emerging from desert sand before displaying the logo, closing with a cryptic passage attributed to Yazar, Moth Priest to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell, dated 4E 206: "The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate". The Hammerfell reference confirms the long-rumored setting, with Sentinel being an existing city in the province . The date places the quote five years after the events of Skyrim.
Bethesda said development continues and it will be "some time" before more is shared, with no release date or platforms announced . Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported the game is still more than two years away.
