FIFA Editing Toolsuite v2.1.1 Released with Major Improvements

August 27, 2026

FIFA Editing Toolsuite v2.1.1 has been released, bringing a substantial set of improvements and fixes for modders working with EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 26. The update focuses on stability, Live Editor integration, performance and the overall modding workflow.

Live Editor integration gets a major overhaul

One of the biggest areas of the update is the way the tools interact with Live Editor. The Editor and Mod Manager now validate the selected Launcher.exe, detect when the game is ready to start, and provide clearer handling when setup is cancelled or fails. Autorun-script handling has been improved as well. Stale scripts are removed during setup, incomplete copies are cleaned up, and installation failures now prevent the game from launching instead of leaving behind partially installed files. The tools also now track the actual game window more reliably. This prevents mod data and autorun scripts from being cleaned up incorrectly when the game's bootstrap processes restart.

Performance and Editor fixes

Version 2.1.1 improves performance across the Data Explorer and asset lists, reducing unnecessary rebuilds while better preserving thumbnails, folder selections and scroll positions. The update also fixes cases where the Editor could freeze when creating or opening projects. Several other issues have been addressed, including Property Grid number formatting, NewWave UInt64 imports and exports, EBX duplication, cloth assets, T3DB databases and asset sorting.

Other updates

The release also brings improved logging for the Mod Executor, Live Editor and GameSessionHelper. The bundled FFmpeg has been updated to version 9.0.1, alongside updated dependencies and improved support for importing common video formats.

FIFA Editing Toolsuite v2.1.1 is available for the Editor and Mod Manager, supporting modding workflows for EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 26.
