The single loudest thing after 1.4 was "make the CPU harder". That is what v1.5 went into, and the biggest part of it is yours:
the Tuning Pack has a whole new Difficulty category, eight options.
Difficulty, eight options, and they stack
Each one ships as a single package at the hardest setting the game files allow. There is no middle tier on purpose, because this exists for people the base mod is already too easy for.
Top Difficulty — Legendary and Ultimate only. Here is the concrete part: the base game stops raising the CPU's off-ball work rate after Professional, so the top four levels all run the same amount. It stops improving the CPU keeper after World Class. And it caps a CPU mid-range shot at half power even on Legendary, so it never struck a clean one properly. All three were raised
- CPU Pressure — the press charges faster, holds longer, tightens sooner
- CPU Attack Intelligence — through balls, decisive runs committed earlier and from further out, and a clear sight of goal taken instead of passed sideways
- CPU Defensive Awareness — reading passing lanes and runners rather than just running at the ball. Interception range was deliberately left alone, since widening it is what makes defenders abandon their man
- CPU Ball Security — it wants a genuinely safe situation before taking you on, and shields properly
- CPU Boosts — raises the hidden bonus the CPU already gets, on every level. Pace, agility and keeper reflexes left alone
- Match Composure — turns off the quality penalty the game applies once a match gets frantic
- User Handicap — the only one that works the other way, weakening assistance and switching on your side only
Two things I would rather tell you up front. Most of these run on shared logic, so your own AI teammates get sharper too — User Handicap is the only one that opens the gap purely from your side. And if a match feels unfair rather than hard, pull them out one at a time, CPU Boosts first, then Match Composure.
Keeper quality. The goalkeeping section is now one option that shifts a keeper a full rating grade sharper or weaker. It replaced the old keeper rush and rebound options, which were doing more harm than good.
The free build, which you also get
The other headline is the game's Game Speed option. The game has it and hides it. Now Slow, Normal and Fast all work with the mod, so tempo is a setting instead of a file you install, and it was stabilised so Kick-Off and Career should sit at the same pace. As far as I know no other FC 26 gameplay mod has this yet.
And the base build got harder on its own:
- A second presser can actually arrive. Midfielders joining a press were capped near 40% of full speed, so the second man never got there
- Defenders hold a contain stance for less time and the team press builds faster, so a long unchallenged carry should be rarer
- Give and go was closed up, marking was reworked to track the man in front, and centre backs step in at an angle instead of running beside you
- The standing tackle read window is tied to the defender now, so a good one decides quickly and a weak one hesitates
- Your own defending does less by itself: the assistance for holding the tackle button was cut below the base game's own value
- Shot blocking was levelled; the AI was blocking from about half the distance an assisted player was
- The CPU plays through you more: combination play, better through-ball timing, better ball retention, and it should be readier to shoot in the box
- A CPU side that goes behind should press harder and start early rather than only at the end
