Although Schlotterbeck received treatment and managed to continue playing until halftime, he was eventually replaced by Antonio Rüdiger. Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann admitted after the match that the initial signs were "not good," with medical tests scheduled to determine the full extent of the injury.
