Dune: Awakening Roadmap Reveals Free Blood and Ice Expansion, Offline Mode, and Cross-Play
Funcom has shared what's coming next for Dune: Awakening, headlined by the free Blood and Ice expansion launching December 1 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, which takes players to Arrakis' frozen north across the new Polar Sink map—featuring tundra and ice cap biomes, around 35 hours of progression, new gear to withstand the cold, ice harvesting that cools base equipment and speeds production, plus new vehicle modules, augments, and specialization traits.
New events include the Water Crisis event arriving shortly after the expansion, where players fight for scarce water supplies and work to end the shortage, following the earlier Scourge event; a new Events tab launching with the expansion lets players track progress and rewards. Funcom also plans to deliver events more frequently with new stories and free rewards.
