METRO Redux Next Gen Update Is Live: Free 4K/60 and 120FPS Upgrades for Metro 2033 and Last Light
The METRO Redux Next Gen Update is live now, bringing major visual and performance upgrades to METRO 2033 & METRO Last Light! Plus it is FREE for all existing owners of METRO 2033 Redux and METRO Last Light Redux.
Console players can now experience true 4K at 60FPS or upscaled 4K at 120FPS, with native support for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. PS5 Pro players also get PSSR support, while Xbox Series X supports 120FPS upscaled 4K and Xbox Series X|S adds 4K TSR upscaling, Xbox Play Anywhere, and spatial audio.
Meanwhile, PC players can look forward to playing both games at 4K resolution with uncapped frame rates, alongside DLSS, FSR, 4K TSR, and Spatial Audio support, plus advanced PhysX enabled by default. DualSense adaptive triggers and Xbox controller impulse triggers are supported across platforms.
These visual and performance improvements are accompanied by a host of community bug fixes and title-specific tweaks, covering stability, save reliability, controls, display, and progression issues, including fixes for the METRO 2033 Outpost demon freeze and the METRO Last Light bear boss fight and stealth takedown problems. Linking a Deep Silver account in any of the three modern METRO games—including METRO Exodus—unlocks an exclusive comic and enters you in a draw for METRO 2039, with an extra entry for newsletter subscribers.
