EA SPORTS FC 27 introduces major improvements to corner kicks and
crossing mechanics, giving players more manual control and making aerial
situations more skill-based. FC 27 aims to make corners and crosses less automatic, rewarding better timing, positioning, and manual skill.
⚽ Improved Corner Kicks
Corner kicks now give attackers more control before the ball arrives in the box. After choosing the delivery area, the camera will move toward the penalty area, allowing players a short window to control their attackers.
- Players can move attackers manually, switch players, make runs, protect their position, or use the new "Evasion" mechanic.
- Short corner routines remain unchanged and will return to the selected gameplay camera.
🎯 Manual Positioning & Movement
In FC 27, players will no longer automatically move into the best position to attack corners.
- You must manually time runs, attack spaces, and reach the ball first.
- Missing the correct position may result in nobody connecting with the cross.
- Well-timed movements will create more rewarding and varied finishing opportunities.
🛡️ Protection & New "Evasion" Mechanic
A new mechanic called "Evasion" allows controlled players to move through crowded areas more effectively and avoid being blocked by opponents. Combined with "Protect", attackers can create space and maintain their position, creating more realistic battles inside the box.
📌 Crossing Improvements
Crosses in FC 27 have been redesigned to offer more control and variety. Instead of targeting a specific player automatically, deliveries will now focus more on open space.
- Cross accuracy and power have a bigger impact on where the ball lands.
- Poorly aimed crosses may miss every attacker.
- Successful crosses will depend more on player skill and identifying the right space.
🔥 More Variety for Headers & Finishing
These changes create more realistic aerial battles and a wider range of finishing animations.
- Attackers will need to adjust runs, stretch, challenge, and attack the ball from different angles.
- Headers will be harder to execute consistently, making them less common.
- When performed correctly, successful headers will be more accurate and rewarding compared to FC 26.
