NBA 2K27 brings major changes to MyCAREER, introducing a longer cinematic story, a dynamic NBA Draft, new Key Games, and, for the first time, co-op multiplayer with a friend.
🔥 Fire & Concrete

NBA 2K27 introduces Fire & Concrete, an 11-chapter cinematic story that is more than twice the length of NBA 2K26's campaign. It follows your MyPLAYER from high school to the G League and eventually the NBA, with the story beginning after a serious car accident derails your path to Duke.
The journey resumes two years later in New York, with the newly recreated Rucker Park playing a key role. Your cousin Cam, voiced by Vince Staples, accompanies you throughout the story.
🀠A Dynamic NBA Draft
Your draft position now depends on your performance. You can work your way up to the No. 1 overall pick, while also having the option to manually choose your NBA team. After your rookie season, eight new Key Game sets become available in Year 2, each featuring six games and its own narrative arc.
🤠MyCAREER Co-Op
For the first time, you can invite a friend into your MyCAREER. Your friend controls Trace Miller, your customizable Running Mate, who joins you in the G League and remains with you throughout your NBA career.
Trace can be built using nine templates inspired by NBA stars, then upgraded through gameplay. Co-op can be enabled on a game-by-game basis, and both players earn their own full VC and Season XP rewards. If your friend isn't playing, Trace is controlled by the AI.
NBA 2K27 introduces a new MyCAREER feature called
MyCAREER Eras,
allowing players to place their created MyPLAYER into some of the
defining periods of NBA history and compete alongside or against
legendary players. The feature was revealed in a new promotional video,
which shows players choosing different historical eras and attempting to
change outcomes involving some of the league's biggest stars and
dynasties.
