NBA 2K27 is making major changes to The City, introducing the first co-ed City, a new Crew HQ, a rookie-friendly Casual Corner, and several new ways to compete and earn rewards.
๐ The First Co-Ed City
Male and female MyPLAYERs can now play together across all City modes, including The REC, Theater, Park, Street Kings, Proving Grounds, Ante-Up, Starting 5, Crew HQ, and Casual Corner.
Both genders use the same gameplay framework, with attributes, height, badges, and wingspan determined by the build rather than appearance. Female MyPLAYERs are exclusive to The City, while The W remains the dedicated WNBA experience.
๐ A New-Look City
The City gets an after-dark visual makeover, with neon-lit environments and redesigned locations. The REC now rotates among five venues, including a high school gym, an outdoor court, a private gym, a crowded arena, and a seasonal venue.
๐ฅ Crew HQ
Crew HQ becomes a dedicated home for squads, combining practice courts, voice chat, private games, and competitive 3v3 and 5v5 matchmaking.
Ranked Crew Games feature six tiers from Bronze to Top Ranked, with daily leaderboards and seasonal tournaments. Crew progression also expands to 40 levels at launch, with additional levels arriving from Season 2.
๐ Casual Corner
New players now have a dedicated place to learn the game. Casual Corner matches players based on their performance tier, gradually progressing from CPU opponents to full player-vs-player games as they improve.
๐ฅ Street Kings Returns
Street Kings returns with 3v3 battles against CPU bosses across The Hollows, Claremont Court, and the newly recreated Rucker Park. Weekly tournaments, Court Crashers, and 40 levels of rewards add more progression to the mode.
๐ Daily Rivals
Daily Rivals is a new competitive mode in which 40 players are grouped each day based on skill and activity. Every game affects the leaderboard, with better placements offering better rewards and the top three earning a Rivals Ticket.

New Player Medals and REP
Players can unlock nearly 300 Player Medals by completing Lifetime Challenges and reaching statistical milestones. Medals can be displayed during matchmaking, introductions, and post-game celebrations.
MyPLAYER progression also expands to 40 REP tiers at launch, doubling the number of available reward tiers compared with last year.
