Command the Clone Wars’ most cunning operatives in Star Wars Zero Company

June 07, 2026

Star Wars Zero Company, a single-player turn-based tactics game set during the Clone Wars, launches on August 27, 2026. Developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and published by Electronic Arts, the title is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-orders now available across all platforms.

A tactical Star Wars story from the shadows of war

Star Wars Zero Company explores a more covert side of the Clone Wars, blending cinematic storytelling with tactical, turn-based gameplay. A new gameplay trailer showcases its tone for the first time: gritty, character-driven, and focused on smaller-scale operations unfolding within a galaxy-spanning conflict.

At the center of the story is Hawks, a former Galactic Republic officer who becomes the leader of Zero Company, an unconventional squad operating in the shadows of the war. Their mission is clear: hunt down and eliminate Kundri Fathom, leader of the Separatist-aligned cult known as the Infinite Coil.

A squad built from across the galaxy

Zero Company isn’t a traditional Republic unit. Instead, it’s a hired group of specialists drawn from across the Star Wars galaxy, each bringing unique skills, backgrounds, and personalities into the field.

  • Clone Trooper
  • Mandalorian from Clan Verminoth
  • Jedi Padawan
  • Additional recruited Operators with unique roles

The game leans into flexible squad composition, encouraging players to adapt their team depending on the mission and the challenges ahead.

Base operations, upgrades, and a galaxy-spanning campaign

Between missions, players return to The Den, Zero Company’s central base of operations. Here, progression unfolds through squad development, upgrades, and strategic planning before heading back into the field.

From this hub, players can:

  • Recruit and level up Operators
  • Upgrade facilities and equipment
  • Select missions via a holotable
  • Manage squad composition and loadouts

The campaign unfolds across an evolving galaxy map featuring more than 150 planets, where each decision can influence how the journey progresses.

Turn-based combat is built on teamwork and synergy

On the battlefield, Zero Company emphasizes tactical depth and squad synergy. Players can form bonds between story-driven characters and custom-created Operators, unlocking new support abilities and cross-training bonuses that improve performance over time.

Combat is built around positioning, coordination, and long-term squad development rather than isolated encounters, pushing players to think several moves ahead before committing.

Deep customization and playable species

Customization plays a central role in shaping both the squad and its identity. Hawks and recruited Operators can be fully personalized, from appearance to combat specialization, allowing players to build a team that reflects their preferred playstyle.

Players will be able to choose from eight Star Wars species:

  • Devaronian
  • Human
  • Neimoidian
  • Ovissian
  • Togruta
  • Twilek
  • Weequay
  • Zabrak

Outfits, voices, talents, and combat roles can all be modified over time, reinforcing the idea that no two squads will look or play the same.

Pricing, editions, and pre-order bonuses

Star Wars Zero Company will launch in Standard and Deluxe Editions, with pre-orders already available. Each version includes different bonus content, including cosmetic packs inspired by the Clone Wars era.

Standard Edition$49.99 (PC) / $59.99 (PS5 & Xbox Series X|S)
Deluxe Edition $59.99 (PC) / $69.99 (PS5 & Xbox Series X|S)

Pre-order bonuses include the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack, featuring an R3 droid, translucent R4 and R5 heads, and the BR-1 droid originating in Star Wars Zero Company. Deluxe Edition buyers also receive additional cosmetic packs and Clone Wars-inspired weapon skins.

A new perspective on the Clone Wars

Lucasfilm Games describes Zero Company as an opportunity to explore familiar events from an unfamiliar angle—focusing on covert operations rather than large-scale battles. It’s still unmistakably Star Wars, but framed through a more strategic and intimate lens.

With its mix of squad-based tactics, deep customization, and narrative-driven missions, Star Wars Zero Company aims to carve out its own identity within the franchise when it launches this August.
