Streetball is back! NBA THE RUN launches June 9

Streetball is back, and it’s looking better than ever. Play by Play Studios just dropped the big news: NBA THE RUN is officially launching on June 9! While it’s hitting consoles, the team is showing plenty of love to the PC community with a dedicated Steam beta playtest happening this Saturday, May 16, from 10 am to 2 pm PDT.

If you’ve been missing the "golden age" of arcade sports games, this is the one to watch. Built by industry veterans with a passion for fluid gameplay, the game features true rollback netcode. For us PC players, that means every ankle-breaking crossover and alley-oop should feel buttery smooth and perfectly synced, even in the heat of online play.

🟢What to Expect on the Cour

The game launches with over 30 NBA stars and 5 fictional street legends (including "Spin Cycle," who you can try in the beta). You’ll be competing in the Run the World Tournament, a four-round knockout gauntlet set in iconic street courts across the globe.

PC players can choose between three main modes:

• Knockout Squads: Team up with friends and control one player each.
• Knockout Solos: The ultimate test of skill, where you control the entire team of three.
• Knockout Friends: A private tournament mode for up to 48 players—perfect for community leagues or just beating up on your Discord buddies.
  

💰Pricing and Editions

The game is hitting Steam with two flavours:

• Standard Edition ($29.99): The full base game experience.
• Deluxe Edition ($39.99): This is the "rookie legend" pack. It unlocks 2009 Stephen Curry, 2018 Luka Dončić, and 2007 Kevin Durant (Seattle Supersonics variant!), plus 1,000 CRED to spend on dunks, jerseys, and taunts.
