F1 25 v1.25 Update Brings the Full 2026 F2 Season and More

September 07, 2026

F1 25 has received its latest major update, and EA Sports is giving players plenty of reasons to return to the track. The new v1.25 update introduces the complete 2026 F2 season, brings the latest real-world changes to the F1 grid, adds new special liveries, and delivers a long list of gameplay, Career Mode, visual, and hardware improvements.

✅The Full 2026 F2 Season Is Here

The headline addition is undoubtedly the 2026 F2 championship. Players can now take control of the latest F2 cars, drivers, and teams across Grand Prix, Time Trial, Multiplayer, Split-Screen, and LAN modes. The new F2 machinery is also available in the Showroom, while players can take the cars around the MADRING circuit for some additional track time.

✅F1 25 Gets Up to Date With the 2026 Grid

EA is also bringing 2026-season updates to the Formula 1 side of the game. Eight teams have received visual changes, including updated liveries and sponsor placements, while several Team Principals have been updated as well. Ferrari fans, in particular, will notice the team's distinctive "Macarena" rear wing, which has now been added to the game.

✅New Special F1 Liveries Coming to the Game

The update also kicks off the rollout of seven special-edition F1 liveries. Rather than releasing them all at once, EA will introduce them through three separate drops during September and October. Players with the 2026 Season Pack or Season Edition will be able to claim the liveries through the in-game mailbox as they become available.

✅Changes for the 2026 Regulations

The v1.25 update isn't just about cosmetics. EA has also adjusted several systems to better reflect the new 2026 regulations. Boost Mode with limited deployment power can now be used in wet conditions, while Straight Mode and DRS now require more than 90% throttle input to remain active. EA has also corrected the timing of the "Overtake Enabled" Race Control message for the 2026 cars and added the information to the game's UDP output.

✅Career Mode Gets Several Fixes

Career Mode receives a collection of smaller but welcome improvements. Tyre allocations have been updated for various 2026 race weekends, and Driver Career now awards additional Recognition when players complete an F2 season before moving into F1. The update also fixes several issues involving the Career Store, Pitcoin displays, Recognition values, and missing Accolades when starting a Driver Career with an official F2 driver.

✅Cars, Circuits and Racing Wheels

A number of visual problems have also been addressed. EA has fixed sponsor and driver-number overlaps, steering-wheel visuals for several drivers and teams, and front suspension issues affecting the Aston Martin and Haas cars. Australian trackside barriers have also been corrected after previously displaying assets from the wrong circuit. For sim racers, the update brings improvements and additional support for several Moza, Simucube, and Simagic peripherals, including the Simagic P500 and P700 pedals, Neo X Hub, and Zeus Formula, GT, and Sport steering wheels.
