Phantom Blade Zero Release Date and Platforms
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC. The PC version will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The game follows Soul, an elite assassin who has only 66 days to live after being framed for the murder of his organization's patriarch.
A Spiritual Successor to Rainblood
Phantom Blade Zero has its roots in Rainblood: Town of Death, the 2009 indie RPG created by S-GAME founder Soulframe Liang. The original game eventually grew into the Rainblood series before the franchise was renamed Phantom Blade.
S-GAME describes Phantom Blade Zero as a spiritual rebirth of the original Rainblood. While the new game expands the concept considerably and moves from the original 2D RPG Maker approach to a third-person action RPG built with Unreal Engine 5, it retains the core ideas and setting that established the series.
The franchise also includes Phantom Blade: Executioners, a fast-paced action RPG set in the same Phantom World. Released on PC and mobile, the game focuses on Chinese martial arts, a dark fantasy setting, and fast combat.
