EA Sports has revealed one of the biggest Ultimate Team changes coming
to EA Sports FC 27. At launch, players will begin earning a portion of
their rewards immediately after matches instead of waiting to complete
weekly objectives.
More Rewards After Every Match
The new End of Match Rewards system will grant Match Coins and Season
Points (SP) in select modes, giving players more consistent progression
every time they play. Part of the rewards currently tied to weekly mode rewards and Live Event Objectives will move to post-match rewards. EA says this is intended to make progression feel more immediate while allowing players to keep earning rewards even after finishing their weekly goals.
More Coins, Tradeable Packs, and Event Tokens
EA Sports also confirmed that FC 27 will increase the amount of rewards delivered as direct FUT Coins and tradeable packs, giving players more freedom in how they build their clubs.
Event Tokens will also return after debuting in FC 26, with new evergreen and event-specific programs planned throughout the year.
Summary
- â
End of Match Rewards: Part of the rewards
previously locked behind weekly objectives will now be earned after
every match in select Ultimate Team modes.
- â

- â

đ FUT_Economist Tweets about Rewards
Weâve seen quite a bit of feedback, especially from core players, about weekly Token limits.
The goal of those limits is to give players a satisfying stopping point each week. FUT can sometimes feel like it's asking a lot of players across modes, and we donât want players to feel like they need to play every mode or earn every reward.
By allowing players to earn Tokens in the mode they enjoy most, the intention is to give players more choice in how they play and earn rewards, while reducing the feeling that they are missing out if they skip other modes.
That said, weâre of course open to player feedback here. Youâll likely see us experiment in FC27 with different Token limits, and potentially even no Token limits (not confirmed on this yet) at certain points for select event Tokens.
At a high level, Champions and Rivals will be similar to FC26 in terms of mode setup, including, for example, things like the number of weekly Champions matches and promotion / relegation in Rivals.
The main changes will come through the rewards players earn. A few examples:Â
1. We plan to shift a meaningful portion of rewards into End of Match Rewards, delivered as FUT Coins and SPÂ
2. A significantly higher proportion of rewards will be delivered through tradeable packs and FUT Coins, rather than untradeable packsÂ
3. Tokens will return, giving players more flexibility over the rewards they choose to redeem from the StoreÂ
Itâs also worth noting a couple of quality-of-life changes:
In Rivals, youâll be able to see your opponentâs division after each match.
After every Champions match, youâll be able to see your opponentâs current record
