FC 27 Introduces FUT Gallery, a New Collection and Reward System

August 02, 2026

EA Sports FC 27 adds FUT Gallery, a new Ultimate Team feature that lets players permanently collect Player Items earned throughout the season. Even after a card is sold or used in an SBC, it can still count toward collections and help unlock rewards.

Build Collections and Earn Rewards

Gallery Sets are organized by themes such as leagues, nations, clubs, and campaigns. Completing and improving these collections increases your Gallery Level, unlocking rewards along the way.

  • Cosmetics
  • Gallery Tokens
  • Holographic Player Items
  • Gallery Level rewards

Better Cards Mean Better Grades

Each completed Set receives a grade based on the quality of the Player Items included. Higher-rated and special cards earn more points, while Tags reward specific card combinations instead of simply using the highest overall players.

Gallery Hub and 3D Displays

The new Gallery Hub visually showcases your collections inside Ultimate Team. As your club grows, Player Items appear as 3D objects, with favorite Sets displayed around the environment. This feature is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.

Holographic Items and Simpler Rarity

FC 27 introduces Holographic Items, rare visual versions of special cards that offer the same in-game stats but contribute more points to Gallery Sets. EA also removes the Common and Rare distinction from Bronze, Silver and Gold base cards, simplifying the item rarity system.

We want the experience of leveling up your Set Grades and overall Gallery Level to feel satisfying. If players can buy high-rated or special items from the Transfer Market, add them to their Gallery, and then sell them back with only the 5% tax as the cost, it could make achieving high Set Grades easier than intended. To help balance this, Gallery will include a significant First Owner bonus tag, giving players an additional set boost for using First Owner items in a Set. Finding the right balance here will be crucial. We don’t want to invalidate Transfer Market-purchased items in Gallery, but we also don’t want that loop to make high Gallery Grades feel trivial to achieve. We’ll continue monitoring this space throughout the year.

With the introduction of Holographic items and as part of an effort to directionally simplify FUT (we know the mode has grown quite complex over the years), we decided to remove the Rare and non-rare distinction. So it'll just be Bronze, Silver, and Gold Base items. So in FC27, instead of packs containing X number of Rare Gold items, it'll contain X number of Gold items. That said, our intention is for the overall Pack-opening experience to remain consistent year over year. For Packs that previously guaranteed Rare Player Items, the likelihood of receiving a base Player Item at OVR 82 and below will be consistent. Similar for higher rated items - our goal is for it to be consistent. Aka, you won't suddenly now get a lot more lower rated items in your packs just because of this merge.
