Lille's game plan was clear: stay compact, frustrate PSG's possession and attack quickly in transition. It worked brilliantly for most of the night.
PSG had the ball, but struggled to consistently break Lille's defensive structure. Lille defended aggressively, blocked central spaces and punished PSG whenever gaps appeared.
Then came the collapse.
At 2-0 down, Lille looked certain to secure all three points. But Vitinha's late strike completely changed the momentum before Marquinhos' stoppage-time header produced an unbelievable equaliser.
