Bruisers 2D Boxing Enters Steam Early Access with Deep Career Mode and Real Boxing Mechanics

Bruisers 2D Boxing is now officially in Steam Early Access, having launched on October 21, 2026, and developed by FunOldGames and published by Halfbrick Studios. Players create their own fighter and live the life of a boxer, mastering timing, movement, counters, clinching, and fighting in the ring, then training, making weight, managing injuries, working jobs, and making choices that shape their career outside it—fight clean, take a darker path, or land somewhere in between, with the game emphasizing that consequences can be fatal and every decision compounds as the boxer ages in real time and injuries accumulate.

The in-ring gameplay is described as polished to an almost finished standard, while Career Mode is roughly 70% complete but fully playable, spanning amateur, professional, and bare-knuckle circuits, with rivalries, shady dealings, illegal gambling, and a mob presence lurking beneath the surface.

The developers plan an Early Access period of about two years, expanding Career Mode with further story beats, amateur competitions and tournament presentation, bare-knuckle challenges, and improved customization, and they intend to gradually raise the price as new content ships.

A free demo is also available on Steam.
