FIFA Editing Toolsuite v 2.1.0 Released

August 10, 2026

FIFA Editing Toolsuite v2.1.0 has been released, bringing a major update to the modding tools for EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 26. The new version introduces significant improvements to performance, stability, compatibility and the overall modding workflow.

Mod Manager Performance

One of the biggest areas of improvement is the Mod Manager. Mod installation and application have been significantly optimized through expanded parallel processing, with improvements targeting both SSDs and HDDs. The modding cache has also been redesigned to use less storage and memory while loading, generating and writing considerably faster. Mod installation now provides improved progress reporting and better handling of multi-file mods.

Better Game Update & Mod Compatibility

Game update detection has been improved considerably. FIFA Editing Toolsuite can now track changes to the game executable and detect updates even when the layout.toc version remains unchanged. The update also improves compatibility with older mods and unsupported project versions, while truncated or incomplete mod files are now detected with clearer error messages. Mod profiles, priorities, conflicts, and uninstall functionality have also received several improvements, making it easier to manage larger mod collections.

Live Editor Autorun Scripts

One of the most notable new features is support for Live Editor Autorun Scripts. Projects and mods can now install these scripts directly, while a dedicated editor allows users to create, import, rename and delete Autorun Scripts.

Major Editor Improvements

For mod creators, v2.1.0 is an even bigger update. The Editor has received extensive improvements to the EBX system, Property Grid and Type Explorer, alongside better asset loading, project performance and memory usage. The Property Grid has been redesigned with cached metadata, lazy loading, virtualized controls and batched updates, resulting in faster loading and editing of assets. The Type Explorer has also been expanded with more detailed information about classes, inheritance, interfaces, functions, delegates, fields and default values.

FC25 & FC26 Asset Editing

Support for FC25 and FC26 mesh sets has been improved, with more accurate reading and writing. The mesh and texture tools have also received numerous performance, stability, and workflow improvements.

The update adds or improves workflows for a wide range of FC assets, including:

  • Kits and wardrobe variations
  • Faces and face variations
  • Shoes and gloves
  • Tattoos and accessories
  • Banners, flags and scarves
  • Adboards and overlays
  • Trophies
  • Jersey fonts

Improved Texture & Audio Tools

The texture workflow has also been upgraded with a faster shared texture viewer, improved DDS handling, better resizing and additional controls for RGBA, gamma, mip levels and texture dimensions.

Audio tools receive several improvements as well, including faster NewWave processing, better import/export performance and support for 3-channel and 8-channel EA Opus audio.

Technical Improvements

FIFA Editing Toolsuite v2.1.0 also brings several major technical updates:

  • Updated to .NET 11
  • Updated Oodle to 2.9.16
  • Updated FFmpeg to 8.1.2
  • Improved compression and decompression performance
