Among the biggest updates are startup improvements that can reduce loading times by around 50% on some hardware configurations, new Performance and Balanced graphics modes, an in-game VRAM indicator, and enhanced Ultra graphics options for high-end PCs.

EA says it has reduced the number of windows and loading steps shown when launching FC 27 through Steam. Internal testing showed startup improvements of around 50% on some configurations, although results will vary depending on the hardware being used.
💻More Graphics Presets and VRAM Information
FC 27 adds new Performance and Balanced graphics modes, alongside new High and Ultra hardware presets. EA says these can target up to 80 FPS and 120 FPS, respectively. Players can still adjust individual graphics settings manually. A new VRAM indicator also estimates the maximum expected video memory usage as settings are changed, making it easier to configure the game according to the available GPU memory.

High-end PC users will also have access to Enhanced Ultra Graphics, which go beyond the existing Ultra preset and provide additional visual quality options. FC 27 will also make it easier to play with Steam friends. Steam friends will automatically appear through EA Connect, removing the need to manually search for and add their EA ID before playing together.

EA says FC 27 includes optimizations designed to reduce situations where high CPU usage can negatively affect responsiveness, along with additional PC performance improvements. The PC requirements now specifically call for dual-channel memory. EA recommends two RAM modules, with the Ultra specification listing 2x16 GB, while an SSD is strongly recommended for the best experience. HDD storage remains supported by the minimum requirements.
