KONAMI has revealed the full details of eFootball Version 6.0.0 in a
new eFootball CONNECT video, confirming the major features and gameplay
changes coming to the game on August 13. The update introduces a new
Custom Tournament mode, Fluid Formation, new Playing Styles, gameplay
animations and several new seasonal campaigns. The CONNECT presentation also covered upcoming players, managers, Ambassador content and changes to Smart Assist matchmaking.
🏆New Custom Tournament Mode
One of the biggest additions in Version 6.0.0 is Custom Tournament, a new mode that allows players to organize tournaments with friends and other users.
The host can create a tournament for up to eight players, with participants able to use their Dream Teams or compete under custom requirements based on leagues, clubs, countries or regions. Players can continue using other game modes while participating in a tournament, while the host can monitor matches in real time and switch between camera angles.
📊Fluid Formation and New Playing Styles
Version 6.0.0 introduces Fluid Formation, allowing a team's formation to change depending on whether it is attacking or defending. Attacking formations can focus on build-up play, creating space and numerical advantages, while defensive formations can form a more compact block.
KONAMI is also adding new Playing Styles that can have different effects in attack and defense. This allows players to take on different roles depending on the phase of play. Managers with two Link-Up Plays are also being introduced, alongside new Auto Formation options and a setting to prioritize players from the user's Base Team.
💻Gameplay and Animation Improvements
The update brings several changes designed to make player actions more natural. Dynamic Volley is a new finishing option that allows players to attack airborne balls with a Spectacular Shot.
New animations have also been added for movement, shooting, dribbling, ball control and goalkeeping. These include new defensive steps, diagonal movement, additional shooting animations and more natural kicking motions based on the player's posture and the ball's position.
Goalkeepers are also receiving new animations, including horizontal diving saves, angle-closing blocks in one-on-one situations and saves adapted to different ball heights and distances.
⭐New Season Campaign and Upcoming Players
The New Season Campaign will feature memorable players from FC Barcelona and Manchester United, with some of them receiving the new Playing Styles.
Frank Lampard will also be available through the new Campaign Hub with the "Overload" Team Playing Style. The upcoming Daily Game Bonus will feature Epic Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a new reward.
From August 14, Diego Costa, Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard will join the Special Player lineup. Diego Costa will also feature the new Extra Booster, which significantly increases one of his statistics.
Antonio Conte will arrive in a new Manager Pack featuring two Link-Up Plays: Through Pass C and 1-2 Cut B.
🇦🇷 🇪🇸 Messi and Lamine Yamal Ambassador Content
New Ambassador Packs and Ambassador Editions for Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal are also planned. Each pack will include an Epic Player and a special giant stadium object.
The Deluxe Editions will also include an exclusive jersey and other content, while the Ambassador Packs will include Memorable Players, training items, and bonus in-game currency.
🤖Smart Assist Matchmaking to Continue
KONAMI also confirmed that matchmaking, which separates players according to their Smart Assist settings, will continue after its trial period. The decision was made after reviewing gameplay data from the trial alongside feedback collected through a player survey. KONAMI says it will continue using data and user feedback to improve the matchmaking experience.
