The first Ones to Watch matches have now been played, and only four of the 12 cards involved today managed to take the first step toward their potential upgrade. With three wins required for a +1 OVR boost, the opening round delivered mixed results.
âš½ Only Four Players Get Their First Win
Only Anyomi, Senß, Vušković and Adeyemi saw their teams win today. They have therefore collected their first of the three victories required to unlock the +1 OVR upgrade through the club-win condition. The other eight players did not get the result they needed, with their teams either drawing or losing their opening eligible match. They will now need to make up ground during their remaining opportunities.

🔥 Lacroix, Savinho and Tzolis Miss Their First Opportunity
Lacroix was one of the most notable OTW players in action, but his team suffered a 3-0 defeat against Brentford. Savinho also failed to collect his first win today, as Aston Villa defeated Spurs 3-2. Tzolis could not get the required result in his opening match either, with Brighton thrashing Arsenal 3-0.
â No TOTW Upgrade Expected Yet
Another Ones to Watch upgrade route does not appear to be relevant after the opening matches. None of the OTW players who have featured so far produced a performance that currently points toward a Team of the Week selection.Â
