Why FIFA 21 PC version will be the same as current-gen one

  POSTED June 19, 2020

After yesterday's FIFA 21 announcement lot has been said about the PC version of the game. Anyway, the official EA word at their FIFA 21 Frequently Asked Questions website confirmed what we have posted yesterday: The PC version will be the same as current-gen one.

- Which version of FIFA 21 will be available on PC?
- "FIFA 21 on PC will be the same version as released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’ll have more information on it in the coming weeks."

This was posted at FIFA 21 Official FAQ Website. So there is no doubt that FIFA 21 will not include features that were introduced yesterday at EA Play Live 2020.

We expect that the PC version of FIFA 21 will be just an upgrade to FIFA 20 one. Of course, there will be new features but not those announced yesterday. Since FIFA 17, when Frostbite was introduced, PC and current-gen consoles versions have just been upgrades of the previous versions with gameplay fluctuations, fixing some stuff and breaking others, and some tiny graphic improvements.

Also, take into account that EA has not even confirmed FIFA 21 release date on next-gen consoles. So there is no way that the PC version will be next-gen and released months before next-gen consoles one.
