Hoops fans of the vintage variety were given a reason to celebrate earlier this week when EA Sports confirmed its acquisition of the storied NBA JAM gaming franchise and the subsequent “Wiimake” planned for Nintendo’s home console later this year. Well, today EA has sent word that folks can participate in fan voting to determine the rosters for each team in the game, granting BOOM-SHAKA-LAKA-like power to wanna-be-ballers to anyone with an internet connection and a dream.
So, each week between now and the end of March will present the opportunity to grant gaming immortality (and the big heads that come along with it) to some of today’s NBA stars.
