Previous Halloween Promos in FIFA

Halloween is coming and EA usually releases a promo 2 weeks before, so we expect a new one coming this Friday. The Scream promo, based on Halloween theme, was present from FIFA 17 to FIFA 20. In FIFA 21, EA replaced Scream with Rulebreakers. Check out previous promos before Halloween.

 FIFA 18 Scream

In FIFA 18, during the Scream promo, the player's card received a +1 Overall upgrade. When the promo ended the card received a huge boost for a few days. Then it returned to previous stats, but a few times during the year, their boosts returned. These returns were usually related to Friday 13th, full moon, and sometimes they were just random. It was an interesting concept. We recreated that promo in FIFA 22 with this concept card that we posted on our Twitter account.

 FIFA 19 Scream

In FIFA 19, things changed. The player awarded with the Scream card had 2 stats upgraded to 90, the rest remained in their original values. Those stats got periodic boosts but they were dynamic, changing for instance from Pace & Passing to Shooting & Dribbling. The concept was interesting probably not as much as the one in FIFA 18, but it worked. Again, we recreated that promo in FIFA 22 with two concept cards that we posted on our Twitter account.

 FIFA 20 Scream

FIFA 20 Scream Promo, was probably the worst one. Players received just a permanent upgrade. there were just permanent upgrades. The Player´s two lowest stats received a major boost. But that´s all. No chances, no events, nothing. We recreate that FIFA 20 promo in FIFA 22 with this Witsel concept Scream card.

 FIFA 21 Rulebreakers

In FIFA 21 EA decided to leave behind the Scream promo. Anyway, the Rulebreakers one was not different. One or two stats received a major upgrade, while the others got small one. You will probably remember Kane with a +23 pace boost. As well as in FIFA 20 those upgrades were permanent. Probably the greatest card of that promo was Rulebreaker Akinfenwa.

EA introduced an interesting change in the Ones to Watch promo with the Wins to Watch concept. Let´s hope they return to the first Scream promos, with interesting and unexpected changes in stats, and they don´t release just another colorful card. As we said, we expect the new promo to come this Friday and be sure to follow us on Twitter since as soon as we have details about it we will tweet.
