They announce that we are hard at work on a next generation football title that aims to truly embody our core concept of "The Pitch is Ours". This title is being developed with an updated engine ( Unreal Engine ) that will enable us to dazzle you with staggering improvements to all areas of the game.
The new engine will allow more realistic player models and animations, enhanced physics, photorealistic visuals, and much much more. They also announced improvements in myClub and Master League content that will be revealed later. They aim to begin testing of their next gen title sometime in mid-2021, with an estimated release date later in the same year.

Finlally they confirmed that they have made the decision to launch this year's PES as a streamlined offering in the form of a "season update" that will be releaed at an affordable anniversary price and will also come with several bonuses.Â
In short, PES 2021 will be released as a Season Update, while PES 2022 will be a completely new game, and will incorporate the Unreal Engine for the next-gen.
UpdateIn the last hours, an image has emerged that suggests that the Konami trailer could be released in a hurry. Messi's 3D model closely resembles that of PES 2017. Anyway, the detail on the kit badge, the grass, the boots suggests that it really could be rendered with the Unreal Engine.
