RE: Pc no 3d grass
thank you very much @hazliv, but i think there might be a problem with the graphics card or something because after selecting personal settings, when it loads for the menu somehow it can not load the grass in the background and then it freezes. it also doesnt load the stadium in career mode with the original ini file, instead it flashes a white screen in the background. Most probably i think in the game it will work, but now passing that menu stage even though ive also updated every thing including the game and the drivers.

RE: Pc no 3d grass
So this is pretty much moot after Title Update 3. First, bcrypt.dll is missing altogether from the main FIFA 18 directory, and simply replacing the .ini file in FIFA18/Patch doesn't do the trick. In fact the game doesn't launch at all (bearing in mind that I've already fixed the issue where the game doesn't launch after TU3 by running it in compatibility with Windows Vista).

Is there an alternative to bcrypt.dll? Will hazliv come through with a fix for this fix? Perhaps we'll never know.

Please, someone, help us out.

hey man,

this is a bit of a problem..... but there is a work round ... follow the below and all should be well,

1...... atfer the new update , take out the bcrypt from the fifa folder and run the game go right through so you can see the grass

2....... close the game imput bcrypt and the edited ini file and all should be well, if anyone need there ini editing LMK but it should be all ok....... EA have defiantly tried to do something with this editing of the ini as when i updated my ini was encrypted and when i came to editing my card was @ medium...... so esentially the update just re encrypted my ini file........ very weird

Hey man, didn't think you'd get back to us! I'll try your instructions as soon as I get home and edit my post to let you know if it works.

Also, I think you may have turned a few heads at EA if they went through the trouble of countering this fix in the new update. Cool

thats fine mate,......... LMK if it dont work.... i dont think its turned EAs heads... but they cant block the use of bcrypt but its in there power to re encrypt the ini file .... surely they would change the encryption if they were that worried aboout it.... bt were entitled to grass whatever our graphics card !!!!!!!!!.. as we have forked out the cash for a footbal game and football games have grass.... !!!

Definitely man. Thanks a lot. I used the files in this folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folde...09QUXZ2ZnM

Followed your instructions and voila. I see grass! I hope they don't fix (ruin) this again. You're the best.

RE: Pc no 3d grass
@hazliv yeah mate a lot of people are having issues regarding the game launch after the third update. They say the game doesn't launch after the update... But for me though i didn't have any issues on this
1. As soon as the game finished the update of 1.34 GB , i went into the game directory and the bcrypt.dll was there... The game didn't remove it...
2. I didn't even try to launch after the update ... Straight away i replaced the initfs win32 file which you gave me with the default one in the patch folder and the i have 3D grass as always..i didn't even bother running the game after the update without replacing the file... The gave runs fine with your init fs win32 file for me...
But many people currently having troubles regarding this... I've requested them to contact you... You're the best as always!
